Tapping Tea was wonderful! Many thanks to Samantha Lasarow, Kristen Glass, the alumnae board and actives officers who worked hard to make last night such a delightful and welcoming evening! The room was beautifully decorated and there was plenty of food and drink for all!
We have 40 new Actives with diverse backgrounds who are extremely accomplished. Well done, Kristen, Hannah and Jacquelyn in your selection! Twenty-eight new Actives were ‘tapped’ last night and the remaining twelve, most who were studying abroad, were also recognized. There was a lot of energy and excitement in the room and ample time for socializing and mingling. The new Actives are excited to be a part of our Cap and Gown family.
We refreshed the Tapping Tea program by adding a roundtable discussion, a skit highlighting the creation of Cap and Gown in 1905 and an updated history of Cap and Gown. We had several local alumnae present and Naomi Waltman, our board member from New Jersey made a special effort to attend. One of our alumnae pronounced ‘this was the best Tapping Tea she has attended!’ Also, singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to Ellen Petrill was a nice touch 🙂
Thanks to Melissa and Jessica for being our photographers for the evening. We look forward to seeing the photos!
Congratulations to everyone for another successful event!
